Driver component options for Oriental Motor's patented Look for the AlphaStep logo stepper motors and actuators (AZ and AR Series) have recently been expanded.  Learn how to select the right driver to easily integrate with upper level host controllers, such as PLCs and HMIs.

Pulse Input (AC or DC)AZ Series AC pulse input type driverAZ Series DC pulse input type driver

  • For host controllers with pulse/direction output.
  • Compatible with AZ and AR Series motors or actuators.

Stored Data/Network (AC or DC)AZ Series AC stored data/network type driverAZ Series DC stored data/network type driver

  • For host controllers with either discrete outputs or RS-485 communication.*
  • Store and link up to 256 motion profiles.**
  • Compatible with AZ and AR Series motors or actuators.

Pulse Input+Network (AC or DC)AZ Series AC pulse input/network type driverAZ Series DC pulse input/network type driver

  • A hybrid of both pulse input and stored data/network type drivers.
  • For applications requiring pulse/direction command with network status monitor.
  • Compatible with AZ Series motors or actuators.

EtherNet/IP (AC)

  • For EtherNet/IP master/slave networks.
  • EDS and AOI files available for download.
  • Compatible with AC input AZ Series motors or actuators.

EtherCAT (DC)
AZ Series DC EtherCAT multi-axis driverEtherCat

  • Built-in EtherCAT connectivity supports up to 4 axes of motion.
  • ESI file available for download.
  • Compatible with DC input AZ Series motors or actuators.
*Modbus RTU is standard.  Network converters are provided for other protocols.
